Contact Okamura
“To the last detail.” is Okamura's new global brand concept and the theme of the NeoCon 2024 exhibition. Okamura has continued to produce high-quality products that result from its exquisite craftsmanship, rooted in the development of ultra-precision machinery such as aircraft, and the Japanese aesthetic sense of respect for nature and consideration for others. “To the last detail.” encapsulates Okamura's unique philosophy of accumulating meticulous care and attention to detail, even in areas invisible to the eye, such as the product's back, its finer details, and the production process.
The “Installation” exhibit is a further
evolution of Okamura’s original
multi-density cushion technology, which
thoroughly pursues comfort for workers,
using a new material born in Japan that is
100% recyclable.
In the ʻEngineering’ section, designed to
resemble a laboratory, visitors can explore
the precision technology cultivated by
Okamura. Here, ideas extending beyond the
visible details of the products are revealed,
showcasing meticulous ingenuity and
consideration for people.
Five “Scenes” recreate the uniquely
Japanese office environment, emphasizing
teamwork. Alongside the ʻEngineering’
section, visitors can experience the comfort
that Okamura’s technology brings.
In the “Feeling room,” Okamura’s
representative chairs are lined up together.
Visitors can experience and compare the
comfort of eight different types of chairs,
each with its own unique characteristics.

Specere
The Okamura pursuit of aesthetics takes us to every nook and cranny of our chairs. By cleverly arranging an array of components within the seat and backrest, we have produced a chair whose elegance is visible from any angle.
Harmony through color
Backrest, seat, casters—we bring harmony between distinct elements by developing our furniture parts from scratch, and thoughtfully coloring individual materials one by one.
A multitude of mesh
Kimono makers employ a variety of weaves to ensure individual garments meet the challenges of four distinct seasons. At Okamura, we approach mesh in the same way, adjusting our use of weave and tension to maximize the functionality of each chair
Back Curve Adjustment
Sylphy demonstrates that it’s possible for one chair to cater to two body types. It can be adjusted to accommodate both larger and smaller body sizes via simple up-and-down lever movements.
3D Physical Fit Shell
Among 100 people, you'll find 100 different body types. We have engineered a mechanism that dynamically transforms to comfortably fit any body.
Inner Mesh Structure
Plimode utilizes mesh for the backrest's internal cushioning, allowing for the co-existence of an ultra-thin frame and back-hugging comfort.
An array of fabrics
With plimode, you can dress your chair however you like with 40 varieties of different fabric patterns, textures, and colors. Take your time and consider your fabric with all the discernment of a tailor.
