The Shimizu Branch of JA Shimizu had become dilapidated so the cooperative built a new building for the branch and relocated to it. The Shimizu Branch is the flagship store for the region which is also equipped with an agricultural supplies purchasing corner.
In the store planning we aimed for harmony between the counter for deposits and the purchasing corner. The former purchasing corner had a chaotic atmosphere so we completely redesigned it to produce a store design which feels integrated.
Regarding the interior design aspects, we adopted a design which feels bright and clean. We aimed for an interior which is acceptable to people of all generations. For the chairs in the waiting room we chose a color inspired by green tea, the most famous product of JA Shimizu, to express the fact that the store is close to the local community.
