Head Office

This company uses the three functions of a think tank, consulting and system integration to engage in knowledge engineering activities and provide the creative added value sought by enterprises and society. This project consisted of relocation and integration of the Head Office of the company in order to improve its silo-style operations. This was necessary because the office was dispersed over seven locations in Tokyo and as a result knowledge was unevenly distributed. The new office was designed based on the concept of “Life & Energy.” The office area uses a universal plan that can flexibly adapt to increases in personnel and organizational changes. Furthermore, the private meeting rooms on each floor are equipped with a short-focus projector and teleconferencing system and highly flexible furniture is used in these rooms to create semi- and fully-open meeting spaces that can be adjusted in accordance with the purpose of use. The break area and cafe are spaces combining functionality and good design and have an important role in supporting the lives of 5,000 people and facilitating communication across administrative divisions.
