Exhibit At NeoCon 2024, The Largest Commercial Interiors Exhibition in North America.

Okamura Corporation will exhibit at NeoCon 2024, which will be held in Chicago, IL (USA) from Monday June 10th to Wednesday June 12th. NeoCon (National Exposition of Contract Interior Furnishings) has been held annually since 1969 at the Merchandise Mart in Chicago, USA, and is the largest commercial interior exhibition in North America.
The new global brand concept is ‘To the last detail,’ which refers to Okamura's unique philosophy of accumulating meticulous care and attention to detail, even in the unseen aspects of products such as behind-the-scenes development and production processes. This is the exhibition theme for NeoCon 2024.
At NeoCon 2024, through the four areas of ‘Installation’, ‘Engineering’, ‘Scene’ and ‘Feeling Room’ visitors will be able to experience the seating comfort provided by new materials, see the hidden beauty behind the seat surface that is difficult to see from the finished product and feel the craftsmanship hidden in the product. The exhibition will also feature a variety of other aspects of Okamura's products which represent ‘To the last detail.’
Furthermore, the exhibition will also feature Specere seating, which will be launched in North America in August.
Four areas representing “To the last detail.”
The Installation area displayed at the entrance expresses the evolution of Okamura's unique ‘multi-density 3 level cushion’ technology, which thoroughly pursues the comfort of users. This unique cushion is made of three different types of urethane molded together in one piece and used on the seat of the chair so that it nestles into the shape of the body, reducing strain on the user. A mega cushion reproducing this has been created from 100% recyclable polyethylene.
In the Engineering area, which showcases the precision technology Okamura has developed over the years, visitors can discover the meticulous ingenuity and ideas that reside in the unseen parts of our products, as well as our thoughtful consideration for people. The exhibition will showcase the hidden beauty behind the seat and the craftsmanship hidden in the backrest, which is difficult to see from the finished products in normal showrooms. The Scenes exhibit reproduces the unique team-oriented Japanese way of working in the office, while the Feeling Room, featuring a selection of Okamura's signature chairs, allows visitors to actually experience the products and the comfort provided by Okamura's technology introduced in the Engineering section.
Specere
Specere is a universal design office chair launched in Japan in November 2022. The reclining mechanism ‘active move’ supports users naturally by allowing a movement that follows the body flexibly through the reclining function. It supports from a slightly forward leaning posture to a backward leaning posture and the bending function of the back and seat to the left and right. The clean, simple design of the thin, compact mechanism harmonizes with any space. The simple structure with a reduced number of parts allows for a lightweight design and reduces environmental impact.
