We would like to thank you for your continued business with Okamura Corporation. A state of emergency to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infections was declared on the 7 th of April 2020 by the Japanese Government, and seven prefectures, including the Tokyo Metropolitan area, have been designated as target areas. Okamura Corporation is of course taking this matter very seriously. We will continue necessary operations in the affected areas, however, we will ensure we cooperate fully with the instructions of the governors in each prefecture to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

■Our policy is as follows

1 . Measures to prevent the spread of infection As far as possible, all headquarters and sales department staff in Japan are working from home. Additionally, our production employees in Japan are working in accordance with government guidelines and are implementing measures to prevent infection and ensure safety; avoiding dense and close contact, wearing masks, frequent hand washing and sanitization.

2 . Shipments and orders Under current guidelines, our factories and warehouses in Japan will continue to operate. We will do our best to meet requests for shipments as far as we can ensure the health and safety of our employees as our top priority. Employees in the export department are, as far as possible, working from home. Therefore, we may require more time than usual to handle shipments from Japan and in trilateral trade cases. Please note that we are still able to communicate on orders and deal with any enquiries you may have. For individual cases, please contact your closest branch or sales representative.
