In the office of the future, fixed office seating, document storage and traditional private meeting rooms will decrease, while spaces for cross-departmental team building and co-creation across organizational boundaries will increase.
Workers will feel inspired to go into the office when there is a range of different spaces and environments provided for them and they will expect their office to improve their team work performance.
ABW (Activity Based Working) is about individuals, whereas TBW (Team Based Working) is about working as teams.
The COVID-19 pandemic has led to a trend of offices being dedicated to collaboration and communication. Offices are now required to be places that maximize performance in a way which is truly “Team Based”.
