Okamura Opens a New Lounge Space in Narita International Airport Terminal 2

A free relaxation area for travelers after security check

December 19, 2025

Okamura Corporation opened a new lounge space in the after security check area of Narita International Airport Terminal 2 on December 8, 2025. Developed in collaboration with Narita International Airport Corporation, this free space offers travelers a comfortable place to relax before boarding.

As part of the airport’s ongoing efforts to enhance passenger satisfaction, Narita has been working with Japanese furniture manufacturers to create accessible lounge environments. This installation marks the first such space in Terminal 2.

Located directly in front of the boarding gates, the Okamura lounge is open to all passengers who have completed security check. Adjacent to a café, the space provides a calm, premium atmosphere where travelers can unwind. The interior features biophilic design elements with abundant greenery and artificial flowers.

The lounge showcases a variety of Okamura products, including the WORK ISLE creative furniture system and CYNARA seating, along with lounge chairs and sofas from Boss Design. Soft yet durable upholstery materials create a clean, residential feel while maintaining easy maintenance. Ample power outlets support diverse passenger needs, and the Swift Nex height-adjustable desk enables comfortable work before boarding.

This space not only offers passengers a relaxing moment before boarding but also provides an opportunity to experience Okamura’s design and craftsmanship. Our goal is to create a place that many travelers departing from Terminal 2 will enjoy visiting.
