Okamura Corporation has been selected as an “Environmental Disclosure Progress Company” in the Environmentally Sustainable Company Category at the Fifth ESG Finance Awards Japan.

Okamura Corporation has been recognized as an “Environmental Disclosure Progress Company” in the Environmental Sustainable Company category of Japan’s “5th ESG Finance Award”. This accolade, organized by the Ministry of the Environment of Japan, is granted to companies demonstrating significant improvements in disclosure and showing high potential for further development.

The ESG Finance Award Japan was established by the Ministry of the Environment in 2019 to promote and expand ESG finance.

The “Environmentally Sustainable Company” category was created to offer investors and businesses concrete examples of companies that have integrated significant environment-related opportunities and risks into their management strategies. These companies have not only enhanced their corporate value but also generated positive environmental impacts. This year, the “Environmental Disclosure Progress Company” award was introduced to acknowledge companies that have significantly improved their disclosures and are anticipated to continue doing so.
